Protozilla DownloadYou need Mozilla or Netscape 6.x to install Protozilla. Protozilla is dually-licensed under the GNU General Public License and the Mozilla Public License .
Protozilla has only been tested with milestone releases of Mozilla. If you use a daily build (or your own build) of Mozilla, Protozilla may not work and may even crash your build!
To install Protozilla, load this page using Mozilla (or Netscape 6.x). Then click on one of the buttons below, depending upon your platform, to initiate the download and install. After installation, refer to the Usage Info page for more information.
- For selected platforms (Win32, Linux), the Install button also installs the binary IPC module which is required for inter-process communication. If you need this capability on other platforms, you will need to compile Protozilla yourself, following the instructions in the Source Code page.
- If you use multiple user profiles, you must install Protozilla using the same profile with which you plan to use it.
- If you compile Mozilla yourself, the platform-specific binary installs may not work with your compiled build. Please download the Protozilla source code and compile it yourself following the instructions below.
- If you wish to download the XPI file(s) without installing, use the hyperlinks instead of the Install button. (You will need to shift-click or use the context menu to avoid the installation dialog which pops up if you simply click on the hyperlinks).
NOTE: If you use Enigmail as well as Protozilla, you should always use the Other Platforms option to install Protozilla without the IPC module. The IPC module is already included with Enigmail.
